Stoke Bruerne to Warwick in rhyme

Chris Goldsmith's poetic take on our cruise from Stoke Bruerne  :

Crawling through the tunnel
Bouncing off the wall
Hire boat ahead of us
Had no idea at all

Follow him for miles
Till he turns around
No locks till Buckby
So we're covering some ground

Hire boat full of youngsters
On a bend near Gayton dock
Nudist on the counter
Gives the ladies quite a shock

Moor up on a water point
While we have our grub
Crew are in the galley
Skipper's in the pub

Eight of us for Holcot
Going to the fair
Neil's booked us a taxi
To get everybody there

Traction engines, shire horses
All are very nice
Going back to Braunston
Driver moans about the price

Met with Duke & Duchess
In the pound near Braunston dock
When we stopped to take on water
Just below the bottom lock

Here's President and Kildare
Coming up the Stockton flight
We're following a hire boat down
We could be here all night

Fosse Road bridge and Welsh Road bridge
And Leamington are passed
Cruising into Warwick
And it's journey's end at last

It only now remains
To do the two locks at the Cape
And it's off to pack our cases
Ready for the great escape

So here's to Snipe & Taurus
And to all her galant crew
Will we ever meet again?
Oh, I do hope we do
